ALDER HOUSE · WILLOW QUAY
Old bones. A warm welcome.
An imagined timber-and-stone merchant’s house, reinterpreted as a small independent hotel. A celebration of buildings that hold stories and hospitality that feels personal.
A HOUSE WITH HISTORY, IMAGINED
Character isn’t added.
It’s uncovered.
In our fictional story, Alder House began as a merchant’s residence in 1892. Its timber beams and natural stone were built to last; its next chapter is about making people feel welcome.
We imagine a careful restoration that keeps the timber, the texture and the generous proportions, while introducing the comforts a modern traveller needs.
Thirty-five rooms, a dining room and spaces to gather. No grand gestures. Just the belief that thoughtful hospitality is found in the small things.
